Commercial Marketing Manager

Position Summary:

As the Commercial Marketing Manager, you will have strong focus on commercial excellence and local marketing execution.  You will be responsible for the regional marketing strategies and tactical execution of marketing plans in the Americas.  Serving to support the regional commercial marketing projects for assigned products you will collaboratively engage with and support a network of internal and external stakeholders and functional teams e.g. product management, branding/communications, sales, supply chain, and services team.  You will assist in executing the regional go to market strategy and downstream marketing mix (price, promotion, and sales enablement) of assigned products. Supports the sales group with necessary information, tools and training to effectively sell and position the products. In addition, you will execute the demand generation activities working cross-functionally (Product management and Branding/Communications) specific products.

Responsibilities:

  Regional Marketing Strategy and Execution

  • Work with Marketing Director to create regional marketing plans, logistics, and execution across all appropriate channels including Pay per Click (PPC)/Search Engine Optimization (SEO, social media, digital ads, tradeshows, print, remarketing, webinars, etc.
  • Execute campaigns and nurture programs with a balanced tactical mix to achieve demand generation targets that align with business goals
  • Report campaign performance and execute continuous improvement activities as determined by manager

Regional marketing and scientific content management

  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure content reaches the right customer at the right time
  • Revise/update product literature, product pages, customer slide decks, product guides, and training literature, as directed
  • Partner with product managers to create scientific content and regional scientific studies to capture markets

Regional market expertise

  • Develop a deep understanding of our regional customers, the buyer’s journey, competitive information, and regional market knowledge/healthcare trends
  • Provide regional market and customer knowledge to product managers in order to improve product design inputs and product launch requirements
  • Support the management of regional Key Opinion Leader (KOL) activities and scientific advisory boards

Sales enablement and support

  • Implement appropriate promotional tools for sales and distribution partners
  • Provide training and technical support for sales representatives, dealers and/or end users, as needed
  • Partner with sales to identify ways to improve quality of leads and support revenue growth

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Science (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience preferred; 3-5 years of clinical diagnostic product marketing experience Demonstrated success in product commercialization and demand generation preferred
  • Previous experience in Sales, Sales Enablement, and Marketing Communications (MarCom) a plus
  • Good communication and analytical skills with experience translating product attributes into differentiated selling strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a global, matrixed environment and ability to work effectively with different functional areas, different levels within the organization, external organizations (i.e.: distribution partners and customers), and to work independently if needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience writing marketing content
  • Results-driven with strong focus on customers (internal and external)
  • Must work effectively with others in team environment

Travel requirements:

  • Up to 15% of time
